- Shrewsbury Christmas lights – This is night of entertainment. Shrewsbury decorates its high street with Christmas lights which are then switched on for the public to see, there is also a lantern parade and carols singing throughout the town. Many of our Pubs also host their own Christmas events throughout the night. The switch on is usually held in late November and is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. If you can’t make the switch on the lights can still enjoyed throughout the festive season.
