The Boathouse was originally used as a store for lead from a local mine in Snailbeach. This establishment features a beer garden that seems to capture the sun, making it an ideal location to spend an afternoon watching the river flow by and sipping on an Aperol Spritz. The Boathouse has been recognized as “Shropshire’s Pub of the Year” six times and has been placed in the top 25 of “England’s Best Pub Gardens” by the Daily Mail. Connected to the Quarry via Porthill Bridge, the Boathouse offers a diverse menu of food options and hosts an annual Sausage and Cider festival and a Gin festival.
The Boathouse has a great range of starters and sharing boards to nibble on as you drink the day away in the shinning beer garden, we definitely recommend the Charcuterie board! The Boathouse serves a menu of traditional pub classics like Fish and Chips, Steak and Burger, all cooked perfectly and sourced locally. They also cater for a range of dietary requirements. They also offer a delicious roast dinner on a Sunday with three choices of locally sourced meats.
