Oktoberfest

Shrewsbury’s Oktoberfest is a vibrant and popular event that celebrates the famous Bavarian festival with a local twist. While enjoying this a large selection of food drink there is a live music stage with local bands, a comedy club, a silent disco and Volvo Cars Carpool Karaoke.

If you don’t fancy participating in all the alcohol consumption then there are plenty of competitions and games as well so children’s activities and cultural exhibits about the history of Oktoberfest and Bavarian traditions. Many of the festivals attendees also dress up in traditional Bavarian attire such as lederhosen and dirndls, adding to the authentic atmosphere.
